Raised in Santa Barbara, Nicole traveled across the country to study violin performance. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music in Ohio (where she also completed a minor in dance). She later earned a Master of Music degree from Florida State University. Both degrees are in violin performance. For two years Nicole worked in the Atlanta area as a freelance violinist and violin teacher.
After the birth of her first child in 2000, she moved back to Santa Barbara to be closer to family. She has co-directed and taught at Sandcastle Music Together since its opening - summer session, 2002, and is now a certified (1) Music Together^® teacher.

Donna Miyuki Harley, singer/songwriter, mother and music teacher grew up in a performing family in Los Angeles. She studied piano from the age of 5 with 9 different teachers, each emphasizing a different aspect of music study. Miyuki has been teaching individual voice and piano lessons for 13 years, as well as singing and playing all over Ventura County. She has performed and recorded in major venues in the United States and abroad. “I enjoy teaching Music Together more than performing,” she says, “because it puts music back into the family.” Music is the language of the heart, and what better way to raise children to be happy, healthy and creative?

Susan is the mother of three (and grandmother of four), and was an active participant in her children's music education. She has a multiple subject teaching credential for the state of California. She has been a registered Music Together teacher since her training in 2002, and has co-directed Sandcastle Music Together since it's inception. Susan also currently choreographs and dances professionally in the field of Modern Dance.
